I asked Ben to write his side of when he wanted to spend the rest of our lives together. I asked him to write a post about our first date from his perspective if you didn’t read that one yet you can read it here. I also wrote my side of our first date. I’ll hand it over to Ben now.
Hello, Ben here.
This is not exactly a moment but a buildup, to when I knew Cinthia was the girl I wanted to spend my life with.
At some point, very early on, I could feel this was meant to be. It had been a dream of mine for as long as I can remember, to find that special someone. To treat her the absolute best and care for her.
Every memory we have made together so far has been an addition to our book. The good and bad. I’m so incredibly happy to share my life with Cinthia. It just enhances and adds something more to my day to day life. Just knowing I have her.
After our first Christmas it really sunk in. When we met each other’s extended families and made those connections. It was so much fun playing all sorts of board/card games with my family. Cinthia loved that part especially. I’m looking forward to all the future board games we will play. All the chances I will have to show my Pictionary “drawing” skills haha.
For all the gatherings we’ve gone to, it’s only been a plus having her by my side. It means my best friend and soulmate is there to talk with, if the conversation stalls. I know we have each other to lean on. Especially to laugh with and make inside jokes.
Recently we have been redecorating and painting various rooms. It has taken longer than we thought but with each room that gets done, the sense of accomplishment grows. Making all of these spaces our own has brought us closer together. We love the two color scheme we discovered (Silk Moon and Silvery Moonlight) so much that we’re going to use it everywhere! Especially in our future house. (Not my wood room though).
Life just gets better with Cinthia and I love every moment I get to spend with her. She is my soulmate and I will support her the best I can. I love her more and more, every day.
